Still life with fruit and glass

Ron spent over four years in Florence, Italy, studying Classical techniques of drawing and painting and through his training he is committed to working from life, which requires many hours of observation and which gives the fascination and possibilities of still life. In creating a timeless sense of beauty, he draws upon historical references, imagination and memory. This has driven his commitment and passion to continue to develop his skills in classical realism; where light and form combine to give the delightful illusion and allurement of still life. Ron finds the genre can evoke a sense of poetry, mood and atmosphere with intriguing transformations of objects through the use of the tenebrism technique and chiaroscuro.
