Rick Staker

Rick Staker has been painting and exhibiting watercolours for over 20 years. Drawn to the transparency and versatility of watercolour, he paints on various surfaces including paper, Yupo, and treated canvas. His work focuses on landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes, often inspired by Western Australian travels. Rick aims for an “abstract realism” style, allowing viewers room for interpretation, rather than aiming for precise depictions. His work captures the essence of light, mood, and environment.
