Persefone Maietta

Persefone Maietta is a Perth-based West Australian artist whose Greek heritage is a central influence on her work. Growing up Greek in a small city shaped her exploration of belonging and identity. With a Fine Arts degree from Edith Cowan University, Persefone creates bold, textured visual narratives that reflect her personal symbols and experiences. Her work addresses themes of diaspora, cultural disruption, and the tension between "Homeland versus Heartland."
