Myra Staffa

Myra Staffa is a Visual Arts graduate from Curtin University. She has had a long career in Art Education and is currently teaches at Tresillian Art Centre. Myra's own practice has included painting, glass and ceramic sculpture and she has exhibited all over Australia. Her works are held in public and private collections. Myra's work is inspired by nature, objects, architecture, travel and history. Two examples of her still life paintings are included here and highlight her interest in bold use of light, shade and colour. When approaching landscape painting, Myra likes to immerse herself in nature to get a feel for a place, before finishing off her paintings in her studio. Myra works with acrylic on canvas and mixed media on paper.
