Gina D'Alessandro

Gina paints full time from her home in Hamilton Hill. She has always had an interest in drawing and painting, studying art at TAFE and the Fremantle Arts Centre. Her love of nature began in her early twenties when she and her then partner (now husband) moved to a remote community in the Kimberley region for three years. She has a great passion for Australian flora, fauna and landscape. From her own photos she creates her artwork with favourite mediums, oils, watercolour and gouache. The close-up compositions of her botanical pieces highlight the beautiful shapes, colours and textures of the plants. She exhibits in local exhibitions each year and also has her works displayed in galleries and spaces across WA.
