Fleur Schell

Fleur Schell believes her role as an artist is to notice and to reinterpret the narratives that deeply move her family and as they go about their daily rituals. Her two children are the muses in her work. As they become more knowing, Fleur’s work has become more emotive and complex. Their hopes and aspirations motivate her to address many of the current challenges that young people face as a collective today. Fleur enjoys playing with conventions and expectations by combing porcelain with other media. She is drawn to porcelain because it feels as precious as the two muses that inspire her work.
