Sally Edmonds

Sally has been a professional full-time artist since 2014. She previously had a career in design and reprographics in the print industry in London and Perth. Sally’s art reflects her passion for birds. Using pastel and colour pencil, her work leans towards realism but deliberately veers away from the more traditional style of portraying wildlife – preferring to use a bolder style that incorporates visible marks, negative space, dramatic light, and exaggerated colour in a large format. Shelly has won multiple awards for her work.
Shelly is involved with the Military Arts Program which helps veterans and serving forces personnel to cope with mental health issues resulting from their work; and Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre.
