Crispin Akerman
Crispin Akerman lives and works in the South West. He works mostly in oils, producing contemporary still life paintings and other subjects. A naturalistic approach using careful observation from life and a naturalistic palette are prominent elements in his work. Crispin has an interest in painting the objects that surround us every day, feeling they suggest a daily ritual and constancy. The paintings have a contemplative and meditative feel. He often likes to include local flora which gives the work a sense of identity. His work has been exhibited widely throughout Australia and is held in many private and institutional collections.
