Vania Lawson

My artworks are alluring places, beautiful emotive landscapes of her surrounds that have a luminous quality that draws the viewer into the work. Vanias work speaks of things that are timeless, I feel that for most of us our oceans, skies and rural landscapes represents something that is comforting & enduring in our busy world. Her paintings are not so much about what you see in the artwork, it's about what you feel when viewing them. I want to convey a journey through layers & hints. Whispers, echoes of memories past, a timelessness that is visually engaging, by provoking elusive, fleeting glimpses into our psyche. Vania is represented in collections around Australia, Asia & UK including Ronald McDonald House, Newmont Asia Pacific and St John of God Hospital Subiaco. She has exhibited in, won and has been a finalist in several Art awards, and is represented in Perth by Gallows Gallery Mosman Park, Gallery 360 Leederville & Streater Galleries in Yallingup.
