Sue Cross has a lifelong interest in art which she combined with interests in geography, biology, and the natural world. Watercolour was a natural medium for her artistic pursuits and she is constantly intrigued by the ways in which pigment and water react on paper. Sue considers herself a realist painter, though she strives to allow the paint to find its own way and keep its manipulation to a minimum, which can often result in an abstracted realistic interpretation. Her work is a constantly evolving process and she enjoys the challenge of trying to master her chosen medium.
