Murray Smoker

Murray is a local artist and illustrator with a diverse work history. He worked for 26 years as an illustrator for the Education Department, designed novelty products for ceramics goods, worked as a greeting card cartoonist for the national marketplace, and freelanced as a book illustrator and caricaturist. For the past 10 years, Murray has been concentrating on building his skills and a body of work in the fine art field. He works mostly with acrylics, but still enjoys pen and ink rendering with old-fashioned crow quill nibs dipped in ink.
