Kathy Bierma

Kathy Bierma's ocean artworks celebrate our unique Western Australian coastline and marine life. Drawn to the shifting energies that direct waves, Kathy creates intimate ocean views which place the viewer in front of the water, with one's toes in the sand. Born in Adelaide, Kathy currently paints from her studio in Perth. She graduated with a Masters in Art Therapy, Bachelor of Visual Arts (HONS) and Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching. Kathy primarily paints ocean, earth and portrait inspired themes and her work is in private and commercial collections. She has exhibited in multiple exhibitions across Australia, facilitated art workshops in a variety of media, and been involved in collaborative and community-based art projects and murals.
