Michelle's work is messy, bright and no-nonsense. It is a celebration colour and texture; she doesn't get too caught up in the details. Michelle paints with joy, and often finds herself lost in the process of building and scraping back layers to reveal the history of the painting. Inspired by the unique Western Australian landscape, in particular her partner's family farm in Gidgegannup. You will see this reflected literally in Michelle's landscape artworks, as well as more loosely depicted through the earthy, seasonal tones of her abstract pieces. The sale of her art has raised money for charities such as Rafiki Surgical Missions, Fremantle Mind Inc. and Guide Dogs Association WA. Selected to show at the exclusive Perth Art Market in 2018, 2019 and 2021. Over the last 18 months, Michelle has exhibited at Moores Contemporary Art Gallery, Art Marx Gallery, Kidogo Arthouse, Art Marx Gallery and the Fibonacci Centre; and was a finalist in the Stirling Art Prize 2021. Her work has also been displayed at the Perth Women's Expo 2021 and in local cafes and businesses. Michelle has been featured in the Western Articulator Magazine and on the Bluethumb Art Online Gallery.
