Jane Coffey is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mount Lawley. Jane is a regular volunteer with the Friends of Inglewood Triangle who work with Suzanne Bushby and Perth College Kindergarten classes to inspire young students to adopt an appreciation of our local Banksia Woodland spaces. This series of expressive paintings feature Banksia menziesii flowers found in the Inglewood Triangle, the title 'Everything is Connected' reflects the importance of fostering a relationship between young people and nature which is essential for the future conservation of our unique bushland. Jane is originally from the UK and completed a Masters degree at the Royal College of Art in London. In 2007 Jane started the brand Future Shelter which design and manufacture Perth made lighting and homewares featuring her artworks inspired by local WA flora and fauna. The Future Shelter retail space on Angove Street houses her painting studio and gallery where she can often be observed working on new paintings. Jane was shortlisted for the York Botanic Art Prize in 2020 and 2021.
