Felicity Peters is a full-time maker and designer who regularly exhibits nationally and internationally. Some recent successes are: a brooch selected for an International Craft exhibition in China, and a brooch selected for Profile 21 to be held at the Australian Design Centre in Sydney in mid-June 2022. Felicity has won many awards including a Creative Development Fellowship. Felicity's work has been featured in over 30 books. Felicity has had eight solo shows, the most recent at Gallows Gallery in November 2020. During 2021 as part of a group exhibition titled Counterpoint, Felicity started experimenting with forming metals and using vitreous enamels to add colour to the shapes. A range of jewellery inspired by rockpools, sea grasses and imaginary sea creatures were the results of these experiments. Felicity also works with semi-precious rocks that are slabbed, cut, shaped and polished and used to make unique pendants or rings. This hands-on process with the rocks allows for unusual shapes to be made. Felicity is planning on making a range of pendants, necklaces and rings using her recent research to make pieces that are beautiful, unique and future heirlooms.
